Art & Politics in the City

Be part of a one-year, transnational, interdisciplinary engagement with street art, urban politics, and GIS technology!

In this immersive course experience, students spend one semester in Buenos Aires and one in New York,* exploring topics of urban aesthetics, social justice, global cultures, digital humanities and mapping. This course also offers students an opportunity to gain urban fieldwork experience by incorporating hands-on, grounded research into their programs of study.

*Students from any portal campus interested in taking this course should apply through the NYU Office of Global Programs by February 15 for prioritized admission (or March 15 for regular admission) to study away in Buenos Aires or New York in either Fall 2019 or Spring 2020.
