In June 2013, unprecedented protests shook Brazilian cities. Millions of people took to the streets, first to demonstrate against an increase in bus fares, but soon to challenge other social justice breakdowns, including the massive allocation of resources and funds to World Cup preparations. Now, a little more than a year later, what have been the effects and after-effects of the protests? What has been their impact on Brazil’s upcoming elections?
