Know Your Neighborhood: Bushwick

February 25, 2015 ▪ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Join us for a panel discussion about the neighborhood that Vogue ranked as the 7th coolest in the world. When did Bushwick become “cool”? What did the neighborhood look like 30 years ago? How do long term residents feel about this new identity? Why are apartment prices continuing to rise and what are people in the neighborhood doing about it? Come learn about Bushwick’s past and present, how displacement from the neighborhood is a real fear for many, and how new and old residents can work together to keep Bushwick an affordable and sustainable community.
